Keep your Fire Hydrants clear from snow

“Clearing snow around fire hydrants keeps them visible and accessible and will save valuable time in the case of an emergency,” In order for firefighters to quickly and easily utilize a fire hydrant in the event of a fire, there needs to be a 3 foot radius surrounding the hydrant that is completely cleared of snow. If a hydrant is covered, the firefighters need to clear it themselves and the delay that this causes could mean additional property damage, injuries or even lives lost. Unfortunately, this is sometimes an issue and the main reason for it is that people simply don’t know whose responsibility it is to clear the hydrants in their neighborhood.  It is your responsibility to clear Fire Hydrants located close to your home.

Water is Precious... Please Conserve Summer 2018

During this year of low precipitation, LPC is asking all water customers to be mindful of their water usage and to conserve when possible. Currently, all of Utah is under some type of drought designation, with the Southeast at the highest designation. Utah hasn't experienced much, if any rainfall through the spring and summer months. During April we received about 40%, May - 50%, June - 10%, and July about 25% statewide. Temperatures have averaged about 4.5 degrees above the 30 year average through this period also. Please do not water during the day, and minimize the use of outdoor watering.

Water meters must remain clear for accurate water usage readings

Please ensure that water meters are clear from debris and/or landscaping so they can be accessible and read accurately each month.  Fire Hydrants must also be cleared from weeds and snow. It is each member's responsibility to ensure Water Meters and Fire Hydrants are cleared.
